Agricultural Scientist
An Agricultural Scientist is someone who specializes in researching, developing, and managing agricultural processes such as crop selection and production. They develop new techniques that help farmers achieve a high yield and higher quality of produce. Agricultural Scientists also work on food safety and the sustainability of agriculture and landscapes. They work to increase systems efficiency and promote conservation efforts. Many people enjoy being an Agricultural Scientist because it is an extremely rewarding field. Agricultural Scientists get to apply their knowledge and skills to make a positive difference and help feed the world. They also get to see the results of their work by watching the success of their work in local communities and beyond. They also get to work outside the traditional office setting and in some cases get to travel to exotic locations to conduct research or to collaborate with other researchers. Additionally, Agricultural Scientists get to form strong relationships with local farmers and be directly involved in community projects.
