Scott has played tennis since he was young, he played in college and met the Arusha community in 2023 while visiting from Los Angeles, California. Scott supports the tennis and pickleball programs in various ways and helped introduce Pickleball to Arusha in 2024.

While visiting Tanzania, Amos (Director of Elimu Yetu) said he was interested in a reading culture within the school. After talking with John (the librarian) we determined that there was opportunity for a daily big event. I asked, "what if we bring reading and books to the students, and make reading take place in an area where students want to hang out at...with popcorn!"
