Economist
Economists study the production and distribution of resources, goods, and services by conducting research, collecting and analyzing data, and developing economic theories. They investigate issues such as consumer behavior, inflation, market trends, and economic growth. They work with clients or employers to develop policies that maximize economic efficiency and stability. Economists also frequently write reports to make their research accessible and useful. People enjoy being an economist because it offers the opportunity to become an expert on how economic systems work. Economists must stay up to date on changing economic trends and theories, which can be very fulfilling work. Some economists also enjoy the challenge of working to solve economic problems in real life and influence decision-making. Others may enjoy the intellectual freedom that comes with studying economics, and the ability to explore a variety of topics and uncovering new insights about the world.
