An Admissions Officer works in the higher education sector, responsible for the recruitment, review, and decision making process for admissions of students into universities or other academic institutions. They work to identify qualified applicants, review their applications, and make final decisions on admissions. Admissions Officers need to have knowledge of the higher education system and understand the specific policies related to admissions and academic achievement. People often enjoy being an Admissions Officer because it allows them to contribute to the success of individuals by helping them to secure a place in their desired educational institution.
