The Safe Water School Manual combines school lessons in water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) with scientific experiments, games and art activities. This manual will contribute to a school, that: • educates students, teachers and staff in the areas of water, hygiene and sanitation • has an adequate WASH-infrastructure • has students, teachers and staff regularly and correctly applying WASH-practices • raises awareness about the importance of WASH-practices in the surrounding community. As the concrete goals of a Safe Water School vary from country to country, region to region, and from school to school, this 2nd edition can be used according to the requirements and wishes of each school. Please choose the modules that are most interesting and useful for you and create your own manual. Feel free to use this manual to design modules specifically for your context.
