Dorian Gray, a young man of wealth and stature in late 1800's London, meets Lord Henry Wotton while posing for a portrait by his friend Basil Hallward. Mr Gonzales has a bit of a jarring voice, therefore rating of 4, but all in all, I found his reading satisfactory. The story of course, is brilliant...a good example of narcistic self-absorbed personality gone wrong.

I knew the general premise of this story, but I didn't realize Dorian turned out to be such a thoroughly despicable man. The details were all left out and his evils only hinted at, but it did take me by surprise. Perhaps I should have researched it a bit more before listening.
The reader was very good. It felt like the characters were really speaking - very good pacing and characterization. The intros on the files were really long, though, with his web address and everything in it every time. You can safely chop 30 seconds off every recording and not miss the text.

The narrator did a great job of expressing one of Wilde's masterpieces: "The Picture of Dorian Grey." It's well worth the time to hear and enjoy.
