GIS Analyst
A GIS Analyst is responsible for analyzing geographic data gathered from sources, such as surveys and satellite images, to map and visualize the data. They are also responsible for creating detailed maps, designing complex plans, and analyzing the patterns found in spatial data. GIS Analysts play an important role in helping to make decisions involving natural and man-made resources. More specifically, a GIS Analyst might be tasked with analyzing environmental trends or land assessments, prepare reports on various spatial topics, or integrate spatial data and software capabilities for efficient analysis. People enjoy being a GIS Analyst because it provides a unique way to observe and analyze both physical and human-generated patterns.
