Animal Trainer
An Animal Trainer is someone who works with domestic and wild animals, often to help train them to become more obedient and better suited towards living in captivity or for specific tasks. Animal Trainers may work with horses, birds, dogs, cats, dolphins, wolves, and more. Animal Trainers often work on farms, in zoos, aquariums, and other public animal parks. The duties of an Animal Trainer can include providing food and water, providing environmental enrichment, teaching and reinforcing good behaviors, and developing animal health and safety protocols. Many people enjoy being an Animal Trainer because they love working with animals and making sure that they are comfortable and happy in their environment. It is also rewarding to be part of the animals’ development and teaching them tricks and behaviors that help them to lead a better life.
